What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger… Or so they say…
Monday, December 28, 2009You wake up at Seatac, SFO, LAX. You wake up at O’Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth, BWI. Pacific, mountain, central. Lose an hour, gain an hour. This is your life, and it’s ending one minute at a time. You wake up at Air Harbor International. If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?

Insomnia sucks. I just woke up from an unrefreshed sleep lacking of godly dream and complete with a heckload of tossing and turning. Four hours of misery spent waiting for Morpheus to come visit me and when he finally comes, he gives me the kind of sleep that would turn anyone into a future cough-syrup addict.
PMS sucks. For men, PMS is a time when things go wrong in a blink of an eye. Moodiness is their biggest problem. This is not limited to men with girlfriends. Moms and sisters are the worst. I would know because my mom can spit out a shitload of unwarranted rage in a matter of seconds. 22 years as her daughter and I still haven’t mastered the technique of Deflecting PMS Rage. For women on the other hand, PMS is a time of hormonal imbalance that tend to throw us off our game. We don’t want to feel moody. It also ruins our day. However, the most frustrating part for me is the INSOMNIA.Think about tossing and turning for 4 frigging hours while you know you have an exam in less than 8 hrs. It’s frustrating and time not well spent.
I’m a person who loves my sleep. In the winter time, I can hibernate like a bear which means I can sleep for 10 hrs-wake up-eat-and sleep again. Sleep relaxes me. Sleep helps to deelevate my stress. Sleep throws me into a dream wonderland where my actions are entirely dependent on my vulnerable subconscious state.
Anyway, earlier yesterday I was talking to my boyfriend about this article I found on the net about sleeping. It was interesting to learn how our sleeping position can actually tell us something about our own personality. For instance, my sleeping position consists of two variations: the foetus and the yearner position. According to the BBC Website, the foetus position indicates that “[t]hose who curl up in the foetus position are described as tough on the outside but sensitive at heart. They may be shy when they first meet somebody, but soon relax.” Meanwhile, the yearner position indicates that “[p]eople who sleep on their side with both arms out in front are said to have an open nature, but can be suspicious, cynical. They are slow to make up their minds, but once they have taken a decision, they are unlikely ever to change it.”
It was quite true actually. It was like reading your horoscope personality and knowing there is some sort of scientific validity to it. I was going to post the pic of the positions but I.Ph said I exceeded my bandwidth.
Speaking of which, what is up with that? I hardly submit any blogs anymore cause of my hectic schedule and I know for a fact that other people’s blogs site are more popular than mine. So what the hell. -.-'’
For those people who wants to check out the article, here is a link to it:

Also, BBC.co.uk has some interesting articles and surveys that some of you might want to check out. Don’t mind my nerdiness but yesterday I learned that phytons sleep for 18 hrs while giraffes only need 1.5 hrs. It was like a brief moment of epiphany for me. I don’t have to label myself as a hibernating bear with a big fat butt. I can be a slithering phyton who is only mabait pag tulog.
That is all.
Adieu.
